The Norwegian Sun

NCL stateroomNCL has many thousands of passengers every year but each is treated as an individual guest. While the crew work hard to make you feel that the ship is your home, you’ll enjoy fine food and spectacular entertainment, excellent facilities and a wide range of activities.

Norwegian Sun and Freestyle Cruising®

Think of this as cruising without boundaries; without having to hurry breakfast or lunch, or to wear a tie for your entire holiday, unless you wish. Combining the excitement of travel with the relaxed lifestyle of a quality resort - this really is the perfect holiday.

Among the highlights are:

  • Totally open dining in all main restaurants

  • Up to 12 dining options with gourmet dining in selected specialised restaurants

  • One crew member per stateroom, meaning better service throughout your cruise

  • A more leisurely disembarkation process

On board Norwegian Sun, glass-enclosed terraces surround you and expansive walkways lead to broad, pool-side decks. The dining rooms, lounges, even the fitness centre, present panoramic views of the open sea. Designed to carry fewer passengers than other ships her size, Norwegian Sun feels wide-open and uncrowded. Staterooms are roomier than on many ships and all have a TV, bathroom with shower and duvet cover.

Outwith your stateroom, you’ll be amazed at everything NCL has found room for - like a luxurious fitness centre and spa, duty-free boutiques, pool, splash pool, 5 hot tubs, Kids Korner, library and even a golf driving net. At night try your luck in the Sun Club Casino, meet friends in the Windjammer Bar, enjoy sports coverage in the Sports Bar or see a first-rate musical show in the Stardust Lounge - and finish with a superb dining experience.

Cruise highlights and ports of call

    VancouverCruise Map

Set sail from Canada’s great west coast city, nestled between the Pacific Ocean and the snow-capped Coastal Range mountains.

    Inside Passage

Cruise through the maze of islands that crowd the edges of the Inside Passage. You may spot bald eagles, whales, sea lions and more.

    Ketchikan

Alaska’s ‘First City’ is wedged between the waters of the Tongass Narrows and the steep forests of Deer Mountain. Jetties and staircases make getting about a novel experience, while just outside town are some of the world’s largest collections of totem poles.

    Juneau

Alaska’s capital is also one of America’s most beautiful cities. A tram ride to the top of Mt. Roberts is a great way to appreciate the view. Visit one of the many mining museums, try panning for gold and shop in the old town, much of it dating back to the 1800s.

    Sawyer Glacier

Surrounded by snow-capped mountains at the end of Tracy Arm Fjord, seabirds, seals and sea lions all have their home in this region.

    Skagway

From one log cabin to a town of 20,000 souls, Skagway grew overnight in the winter of 1897-98. The Gold Rush came and went, leaving a desolate trail of corruption and gunfighting desperados. The railway followed and you can still ride the White Pass and Yukon Route today.
